Microsoft’s TechEd 2009 conference kicked off today with a fairly forthcoming keynote that included not only the announcement of a Windows 7 release date season but an indirect demonstration of the forthcoming Office 2010 Technical Preview build.

You learn the most interesting things when you poke around in some of the arcane files that are included with Windows 7 beta releases. Russian site Wzor has leaked some screenshots of the Office 14 alpha build that was handed out to select testers this week.
The build is pictured below installed onto Windows 7 and it doesn’t appear like the UI has been overhauled yet and remains very similar to Office 2007.
